These Terms govern your use of Layle. Because Layle helps people meet in real places, use good judgment, respect consent and property, and follow host rules and applicable law.
1. Agreement
By accessing the Layle mobile application, website, or related services (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. You must provide accurate information, keep access to your email secure, and promptly notify us of unauthorized account use. You may not impersonate another person, transfer your account, or create an account after suspension without permission.
3. What Layle provides
Layle helps users discover social plans, public places, parties, and after-events; request attendance; communicate host decisions; and, where approved, access private event details. Layle does not own, organize, supervise, insure, or control user-hosted events unless we expressly say otherwise. A listing, approval, social connection, vouch, or verification label is not a guarantee of identity, safety, legality, quality, or attendance.
4. Safety and acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- threaten, harass, stalk, discriminate against, exploit, or harm anyone;
- promote violence, illegal drugs, weapons, sexual exploitation, trafficking, or any unlawful activity;
- share another person’s exact location, contact information, image, or private event details without permission;
- enter property without authorization or remain after consent is withdrawn;
- misrepresent your age, identity, affiliation, event, capacity, safety measures, or right to host;
- scrape, reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or bypass security or access controls; or
- use the Service for spam, unauthorized advertising, or commercial resale.
Call local emergency services if anyone faces immediate danger. Layle is not an emergency service and does not monitor events in real time.
5. Hosts
Hosts are solely responsible for having authority to use the venue, providing accurate information, setting and enforcing lawful rules, managing capacity, respecting neighbors and property, obtaining any required permits or insurance, and taking reasonable safety measures. Hosts must not approve more guests than the location can safely accommodate and must not expose private guest information.
6. Guests
Guests must follow host rules, respect capacity and consent, comply with age restrictions and applicable law, and leave when requested by a host or lawful authority. Approval applies only to the approved account and does not automatically include additional guests.
7. Location and private information
Exact event details are confidential and provided for attending the approved event. You may not repost, sell, scrape, or disclose those details without the host’s permission. Access may be changed or withdrawn at any time for safety, cancellation, blocking, removal, or expiration. You are responsible for deciding whether it is safe to attend or host an event.
8. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Layle a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, secure, promote, and improve the Service. You represent that you have the necessary rights and that your content does not violate law or another person’s rights. You may remove content, but copies may remain for reasonable backup, safety, legal, or enforcement purposes.
9. Moderation
We may review reports and remove content, restrict event visibility, revoke access, suspend accounts, or cooperate with authorities when we reasonably believe it is necessary to enforce these Terms or protect users. We are not required to monitor all content or disputes and do not guarantee that we will detect every violation.
10. Third-party services
The Service may use or link to maps, venues, transportation, authentication, notifications, or other third-party services. Their terms and privacy practices apply independently, and Layle is not responsible for their availability or conduct.
11. Beta service and changes
Layle may be offered as an invitation-only beta. Features may be incomplete, change, or stop without notice. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service and may impose reasonable usage or geographic limits.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Layle disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not guarantee users, hosts, venues, events, transportation, or information found through the Service.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Layle and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss arising from another user, an event, a venue, disclosed location information, personal injury, property damage, lost data, or interruption of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify Layle from claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your content, event, conduct, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person’s rights.
15. Ending access
You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion through the in-app support channel. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, safety risks, legal requirements, or discontinuation. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Lebanon, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts with jurisdiction in Beirut will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise. Before filing a claim, each party should attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally.
17. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms and will post the new effective date. Material changes will receive additional notice when required. Questions may be sent through the support channel shown in the app. Before public launch, Layle will publish the operating entity’s full legal name, address, and dedicated legal contact.
